DISASTER HORSE: SMOL ESSAYS, BY NOOKS KRANNIE

"This book is a throbbing hallucination. Each sentence twists into a new landscape Nooks Krannie has a way of working over the details of the intimate relationship we have with ourselves and with others and presenting them to you in new, neon packaging, as if you’re looking at life for the very first time or as a visitor from an alien planet."

- Elle Nash, author of Animals Eat Each Other

I LOVE YOU, IT LOOKS LIKE RAIN, by june gehringer

"In a world where cruelty seems to be the choice cowardly mode of survival, to believe in the power of beauty, compassion, and love is a radical act, and with her first book, I Love You, It Looks Like Rain, June shows us just how radical and necessary that act can be. June's words will make you feel more, laugh more, cry more, and, in the end, love more. "

- Peyton Burgess, author of the fry pans aren't sufficing

BE ABOUT IT ZINE

BE ABOUT IT ZINE is a literary rag composed of words and images. Founded by Alexandra Naughton in 2010, we try to put out two issues every year.

Want to BE ABOUT IT? Submit your writing and artwork to zinebeaboutit@gmail.com

Every issue has its own “theme” or “catalyst word” (words I choose at random). Check the be about it tumblr for information regarding open submission season and the new catalyst word. Your work should be inspired by the catalyst word or reflect it in some way, even if it’s not immediately apparent.
