MY CROWS! LIBRA PARTY ONLINE THIS SATURDAY! AND UPCOMING PROJECTS!

My website knew I had to blog today, so it started this draft for me before I even logged on.

I have a lot of things to do, and I’m putting off all of them. It is my nature.

It’s Monarch butterfly season, and from my window I regularly see pairs of them fly around my garden. They make me happy.

My crows came back to visit me. I hadn’t seen them in several weeks, they stopped coming by right around when Sookie passed. Yesterday I took some trash down to the curb for trash day, and I saw my crows on the telephone line. I was excited and I said, “Good morning my guys!” ( I call them “my guys,” I don’t know why). When I went back up the driveway, they followed me and went to the roof of the garage where they usually perch in the mornings when I come out to feed them. I think they recognized me. Crows can remember faces. I told them to wait just a minute, then went back inside my apartment, grabbed two sausages from the fridge and cut them up and rinsed them in water (crows like to dunk their food in water before eating it). I tossed the sausage onto the roof of the garage and they all seemed very happy about this snack. All four crows grabbed some sausage slices and took off.

I am editing and putting together books for Be About It Press. One by Richard Loranger, one by Marzi Margo, one by Lonely Christopher, and one by Carrie Hunter. I need to make a checklist so that I can use my time more wisely and get it all done. I suck at time management.

My annual Libra party is this Saturday. You’re invited, if you’d like to come. We will have featured poetry readers and an open mic. Find the details and a link to register here!
